Day 6: Tuesday, August 15th

After yesterday's comments regarding the nice weather, I was nervous I may have jinxed us. Thankfully, we walked to breakfast under blue skies with temperatures soaring into the 70s in the afternoon.
Even after last night's stretching, many of the kids were sore following a full day of training and games. With another day of morning and afternoon training sessions ahead, tweaked ankles, bruises and blisters made great work for our physio Martha. But everyone was down for training after breakfast, enjoyed a mid day break for lunch and then headed back down for the second session of the day without Brighton & Hove Albion Community Coaches.

After dinner and chill time, we all headed back out to the turf pitch for a nightly activity. Even after an entire day of training, the group was buzzing in the player's lounge and ready to burn off some more energy. Out on the turf, we separated the group into two smaller groups. One played cricket while the other played rounders. Rounders is a version of baseball, though the bat is smaller and you can only swing with one hand.

Back up to the dorms, everyone showered and settled in to the common room for a movie before bed.

Tomorrow we are up early for breakfast and back out onto the fields for a morning training session before lunch and our second round of competition for the week.
